My Trip to Nepal

Irish "Pavees" are famous for their travelling habits. They do not bother about their social existance and even basic necessities and live without concrete roof. They distinguish themselves from the settled communities of the countries in which they live by their own language and customs. I love their boundless attitude and wish to unbound myself at some stage.

Since I've been in Nepal, I've heard many travelers talk about the beauty of Pokhara Valley and its arid and barren Himalayan landscape. because in no other place the mountains rise so quickly, within 30 km, from 1000 m to over 8000 m. so we decided we just couldn't miss the Heaven in the earth. We took a matador for about 4 hours west of Kathmandu and then walking for an hour up the Phewa Tal, in the north at an elevation of around 1000 m the outskirts of the city touch the base of the Annapurna mountain range.

Pokhara Valley lies on a tribal street route between Tibet and India. Many of the mountains around Pokhara still have medieval ruins from their historical time. Lot of tribal people live here in different villages and most of them are Hindus by religion and their heritage can still be seen in the architecture along the streets in Bagar village. Hindus have brought their culture and customs from Kathmandu and settled in the whole Pokhara valley.

There is no electricity or vehicles or modern conveniences in these villages whatsoever except they daily run generators for lights in the night.
